Transfer Case Fluid Stop Leak
My Transfer case has now been leaking for 3 months.
Transfer case fluid stop leak. So for 40 ounces you would add about 14 or 10 ounces. Its important to address fluid leaks right away to prevent internal transfer case damage. Unfortunately the output shaft seal has a tendency to develop leaks as years go on.
While youre waiting for the fluid to drain its also a great time to check for existing leaks. 11212002 T-case removal and reseal is a snap. Once you stop any extra fluid in the transmission will drain back into the transfer case.
This is not some stop leak its a plasticizes. Even seals in good condition can start to swell allowing fluid to leak out of new areas as a result. If you are going to use the stop leak you need to figure out the ratio of a normal transmission 3-4 quarts and then assume that one bottle would be replacing one of those quarts.
Test drive the vehicle and check for leaks. You will need to schedule your vehicle maintenance and any time the transfer case is inspected you will have to check the transfer case fluid. I just couldnt find the darn leak.
Its normally a self contained unit and therefore has its own fluid. 592013 No it did not. I filled up the transfer case with fresh fluid and it proceeded to leak out fluid overnight producing a puddle about the size of a coffee cup lid.
This looks like it is coming from the input seal sometimes. 622020 What are the Possible Causes of a Bad Transfer Case. Also I did not understand the problem.
